The sweetest Rose, nearly 4 years old, neutered, medium-sized, German short haired pointer.

Sweet Rose has been in our Cyprus shelter since September 2025, quietly waiting for someone to see her.

She’s the kind of dog people walk past without realising how much she’s hurting — gentle, sensitive, and trying her best to cope in a place that overwhelms her.

Rose can be frightened at times, and the truth is, shelter life will never help her grow in the way she needs. The noise, the chaos, the constant movement… it’s simply too much for a soft soul like hers. What she needs is a calm, patient home where she can finally exhale and learn that the world isn’t scary.

She isn’t a difficult dog — she’s a worried one. And worried dogs blossom beautifully when given love, kindness, and time. And, knowing what pointers are like, she is desperate to show some affection to humans that she can trust.

Rose would thrive in a quiet home with people who understand that progress comes in gentle steps. Someone who will celebrate the small wins, offer reassurance when she’s unsure, and show her what safety feels like. Once she trusts you, her sweetness shines through. She is frightened of children so she can only be homed with a family if children are over the age of 15 yrs old.

This girl has waited long enough. She deserves that certain someone/couple or a family who will help her feel safe, wanted, and cherished.

Rose is located in Cyprus and, if adopted in the UK, will travel with a passport and has been tested for infectious diseases. She is fully vaccinated and spayed.
