Rona, 1 year old female crossbreed.

Rona needs a patient home that will give her that time to trust and learn that not all people are bad. She warms up quite quickly if she feels safe and secure, she will be an excellent companion in the right home.

At just one year old, beautiful Rona is struggling with life in a busy Cyprus shelter. The noise, the constant movement, and the long days of waiting are overwhelming for a dog as gentle and sensitive as she is. She tends to stay quiet in her kennel, watching everything around her, unsure how to cope with the chaos. Rona doesn’t thrive behind kennel doors — she’s the kind of dog who needs the calm and reassurance of a real home, where she can finally feel safe, loved, and understood. She can be reserved until she has had time to trust. When she has learnt to trust then she is a loving girl that will just curl up on your lap for a cuddle. Rona is ready to form a strong connection with someone who will give her the security she’s been missing. She doesn’t belong behind kennel doors. She belongs in a home, where she can finally feel safe, loved, and understood.

Please don’t overlook her. Many quiet, sensitive dogs like Rona are passed by, and extended time in a shelter can be hard on them. She deserves a home, a family, and the warmth that comes with being cared for. She can be adopted anywhere in the UK — her forever home could be with a family (children 12+) a couple, or a single adopter. She walks well on the lead (once she has learnt to trust) and travels calmly, making her a lovely companion for days out and new adventures. She is good with other dogs and shares her space with both males and females, large and small. She has not been cat tested but this can be arranged.

Rona will be neutered, fully vaccinated (including Rabies), microchipped, blood tested, treated for fleas and worms and have her own passport. Full rescue back-up with Saving Souls Animal Rescue - a UK based charity.
